DVSA ADI Part 1 Home Study Course
Your Theory and Hazard Perception Test, ADI Part 1 Home Study Course will consist of all of the publications listed on the essential reading page (click here)
It includes a workbook to guide you through your studies in a structured way, and allows you to monitor your progress continually.
The study material includes books and DVDs, as well as some documents that can be supplied in a format to read on a computer or tablet.
It is essential that you gain a very thorough and detailed knowledge of all the subjects covered by the Examination, this is not only in order to pass the ADI Part 1 Examination but also to avoid problems caused by a lack of knowledge arising on the driving ability test, ADI Part 2, or the instructional ability test, ADI Part 3, and to have the knowledge to teach, your future clients will expect you to be an expert, to achieve this a large amount of study will be needed.
This course is extremely effective and people using it often score 99% or 100% in the Examination.
The course is self contained, and it is unlikely that you will need any additional help, but if you do we also offer:
Free Telephone Helpline
Anything that you do not understand or you want clarification on just ring us.
(you will pay the cost of a short telephone call to a landline, and then we will ring you back).
Free email ‘help’ service
The same principle as the telephone helpline, send an email with your question, we will respond either by email or telephone.
One to One tuition
In the extremely rare event that we cannot solve your problem by telephone or email, we can organise one to one tuition on any topic that you require, this would incur additional fees however.
Hazard Perception Test Preparation
To prepare for the “Hazard Perception” element of the test your home study programme will include DVDs, which will help you to understand how the test is conducted and what is expected of you. They will also give you ideas to develop your hazard perception to a higher level.
The Hazard Perception test is designed to test a real life skill, not to learn to play a video game, so while the DVDs, are a great help, part of your training for Driving Ability Test, ADI Part 2 will be concerned with Hazard Perception, this helps both with the Hazard Perception Test and with developing your driving up to the high standard required, for this reason we recommend that you overlap your training for ADI Part 1 and ADI Part 2.
