The Theory Test and
The Hazard Perception Test (Part 1)
It is essential that you gain a very thorough and detailed knowledge of all the subjects covered by the Examination, this is not only in order to pass the Examination but also to have the knowledge to teach, your future clients will expect you to be an expert, to achieve this a large amount of private study will be needed.
Your Part 1 Course will consist of a home study programme, this will include all of the textbooks that you will need and a series of workbooks to structure your studies, and to continually monitor your progress by providing questions on the subject you have just been studying.
This course is extremely effective and people using it often score 99% or 100% in the Examination.
If You do have any problems or difficulties in your studies we offer a free telephone helpline. (You only pay the cost of a call to a normal telephone landline, and we ring you back.)
In the rare event that a telephone call cannot resolve the problem then lessons can be arranged for any subject necessary.
To prepare for the “Hazard Perception” element of the test your home study programme will include either videos, CDs, or DVDs, which will help you to understand how the test is conducted and what is expected of you. They will also give you ideas to develop your hazard perception to a higher level.
“The Hazard Perception test” is designed to test a real life skill, not to learn to play a video game, so while the videos, CDs, and DVDs, are a great help, part of your training for “The Test of Driving Ability (Part 2)” will be concerned with “Hazard Perception”, this helps both with the “Hazard Perception Test” and with pushing your driving up to the high standard required, for this reason we recommend that you overlap your training for Part 1 and Part 2.
